Textured Rays is a great everyday sweater, perfect for mixing and matching with your existing wardrobe in endless combinations! The design features a boxy shape and drop shoulders. • Briar Rose Fibers Abundance (100% wool, Heavy Worsted weight yarn; 750 yds / 685 m per skein - approx. 16 oz)
Note: The yarn weight used for this design
is heavy worsted weight but the gauge that
this pattern requires could also very likely be achieved with aran or bulky weight yarn as well.
• Approximately 630 (710, 770, 870, 945) (1020, 1130, 1200, 1300, 1420) yards / 576 (649, 704, 796, 864) (933, 1033, 1097, 1189, 1298) meters OR 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins

Gauge:
• 13 sts and 24 rows over 4” / 10 cm in seed st worked in the round, blocked

Needles:
• Size 9 (5.5 mm) 32-40” / 81.5-101.5 cm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge and spare gauge-size needles for the 3-needle bind off.
• Size 9 (5.5 mm) 16” / 40.5 cm circular needles for the neckline
• Additional needle of the same size for your preferred method of small circumference knitting (9”/ 23 cm circular, 2-circulars, DPNs or Magic Loop) for the sleeves and cuffs

Notions:
• Stitch markers (2), spare needles or waste yarn for placing shoulder stitches on hold, tapestry needle, row counter (optional)

Construction:
Knit from the bottom up in the round. At the divide for the armholes, the front and back are worked separately, flat. Shoulders are seamed using the three needle bind off. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round outward from the body. The neckline is picked up and worked in the round.
