Today I bring you a new shawl design, Meet Nuna!
The Inspiration:

Most of the shawls I have are pretty casual. I wanted to design a simple, solid, neutral colored shawl that felt a bit more fancy. I found a lovely stacked leaf lace motif and the design grew out from there.  Nuna is a romantic, feminine, lacy crescent shaped shawl. It's the perfect shawl for wedding season; drape it over a maxi dress or pretty patterned blouse.

The Design:

This shawl features columns of wrapped stitches, yarn overs, and twisted stitches in the body creating lines and drawing your gaze down as it transitions seamlessly into the section of stacked leaves. The border is easily memorized and is composed of the same wrapped stitches and yarn overs from the body. The shawl ends with a stretchy smooth i-cord bind off.

The Yarn:

Knit in O-Wool’s O-Wash fingering, 100% machine-washable certified organic merino. Unlike conventional superwashing processes where scales are burned off of the wool fiber with acid, O-Wash uses a GOTS certified organic compound to create washability. This compound holds the wool fibers in place during washing and drying, preventing them from interlocking during agitation which is what causes shrinkage and felting. It has a lovely stitch definition and highlights a simple solid yarn beautifully!
