I recently purchased a circular needle case from my local yarn shop Spun in Ann Arbor, MI. For years I had struggled with a bin full of circulars all mixed together, it was a MESS and I could never find what I was looking for/ things got tangled/ and it took forever to simply find the right needle for a new project! I love organization, it makes life easier, takes away stress and frustration, and just feels good. And as a knitwear designer who works from home with my kids, every minute counts! So I was thrilled when I came across these awesome needle cases. There are a variety of colors and styles available, the one I chose has sections for my fixed circulars and DPNS, all labeled by sizes clearly making it a breeze to find exactly what I need at any given time. It folds and wraps up neatly for storage as well. I shared a photo on instagram and everyone went WILD over it! So I reached out to Della and she agreed to tell us more about her lovely company! Can you share a little about your background and how Della Q was born?
Spoiler alert: I'm not a knitter. Gasp! I know. Crazy. I'm simply an ex-corporate business woman, tired of the rat race, who traveled to SE Asia for five months. When I came home somehow I hatched an idea to import handbags to the US. (It is amazing what one dreams up while sitting in a steamy hot bar in Saigon). Of course, I had no idea how to import. I just figured it out. Within the first couple of months of selling my bags to local boutiques I had several people who were buying them for knitting. Knitting? Hmm. . .I trekked to the local yarn store in my neighborhood in Seattle and they bought one of every style. The ball got rolling from there. More stores bought my bags and my collection grew to include needle cases.

My rock star social media manager, Cathi, in Indiana who puts up with my scattered brain. My part time project manager, Ariel, who can always find a better way to do something. Thank you! My amazing Vietnamese sewers in Saigon who can create anything and have set a high bar for quality sewing. My loafers, Lucky the dog and Mattie the cat, who don't contribute much other than keeping me company in the studio. My husband, who is my biggest cheerleader and listener. What does knitting mean to you/ or what project do you have in your bag right now?
I'm not a knitter! Well, I have knit a couple of simple things. I would love to knit a sweater. There are so many amazing patterns out there! Maybe someday. . .
Do you have any advice for other creatives wanting to start a business of their own?
Sometimes you just have to figure things out. Sometimes it is ok to be scrappy, it doesn't have to be perfect. Always share what you learn.

“Столото” – частная монопольная лотто компания в России – объявила настоящий крестовый поход за деньгами граждан страны.
В условиях резкого уменьшения покупательской способности Российских граждан, падения курса рубля и “макорона”-кризиса, реклама лотерейщиков становится всё агрессивнее, вынуждая многих отдавать последнее, разбирая билеты в призрачной надежде сорвать миллиардный джек-пот.
Почему же так происходит и как не стать жертвой узаконенных казино?
Не секрет, что “пандемия” коронавируса нанесла мощный удар по экономике практически всех стран, включая Россию.
Прогнозы по росту инфляции и “падению” империи Владимира Владимировича Путина, по темпам обнищания населения и увеличению безработицы сейчас удручают не только экономистов, но и чиновников в высоких кабинетах министерств и ведомств.
В 2020 году многие граждане России потеряли рабочие места из-за коронавируса. Большое число предприятий малого и среднего бизнеса так и не открылись после весеннего коронабесия – они просто не выдержали.
Нечем платить людям, нечем платить за аренду. Несмотря на все меры поддержки, объявленные государством, получить помощь смогли далеко не все, а об отказах Сбербанка в выдаче льготных кредитов, кажется, уже сочиняют анекдоты.
Это было бы смешно, если не было бы так грустно.
На этом фоне есть компания, которая прекрасно себя чувствует и даже не нуждается в том, чтобы быть включённой в перечень понёсших убытки отраслей.
Эта компания сейчас, чем ближе Новый год и новогодние праздники, уже заранее начинает жёсткую рекламную кампанию с целью сделать себе кассу в условиях, когда далеко не самые обеспеченные группы населения едва держатся на плаву.
Что такое “Столото”. Главное в пяти фактах
Факт первый.
Организация “Столото” – это монополист в сфере лотерей в России. Другого оператора тиражных, бестиражных, моментальных розыгрышей в нашей стране не существует.
“Столото” владеет розыгрышами “Русское лото”, “Золотая подкова”, “6 из 36”, “Гослото”, “Жилищная лотерея”, а также моментальными лотереями “Рапидо”, “Джокер” и рядом других.
Факт второй.
“Столото” является частной конторой, которой владеет бизнесмен Армен Саркисян. Однако монополия на лотереи в России – государственная.
Организаторами лотерейных игр официально являются Минфин и Минспорта России, а сама деятельность лотерей регулируется законом “О лотереях” от 11.11.2003 N 138-ФЗ.
Кстати, всем хейтерам в интернете “Столото”, как правило, “тычет” именно этим фактом – дескать, мы государственные и вообще якобы тесно связаны с правительством.
НО ЭТО НЕ ТАК, переходим к третьему факту.
Факт третий.
“Столото”, если бы компания была такой “государственной”, отдавала бы все свои прибыли или же большую их часть за вычетом операционных расходов в бюджет.
Однако по закону “Столото” отчисляет в бюджет лишь 10% разницы от выручки за отчётный период и сформированного призового фонда.
При этом компания обязана разыгрывать минимум 50% своей выручки.
Звучит вроде бы честно, но не обольщайтесь – впереди факт четвёртый.
Факт четвёртый.
Прибыли “Столото” огромны, но компания ими почти не делится.
На своём сайте в разделе “раскрытие информации” оператор всех лотерей в России указывает, что его выручка растёт год от года.
В 2016 году она составила 24,9 миллиарда рублей, в 2017 году выросла уже до 37,1 миллиарда рублей, в 2018 году достигла 47,7 миллиарда рублей.
2020 год уже скоро кончается, однако в “Столото” пока не опубликовали данные за 2019 год.
Аналитики сообщили, что выручка компании за прошлый год составит 60 миллиардов рублей.
Царьград ранее направлял запрос в “Столото”, и ответ компании не содержал опровержения этого прогноза.
Если “Столото” разыгрывает половину выручки, а ещё 10% отдаёт государству, то 40% оставляет себе.
Нет сомнений в том, насколько этот игорный бизнес выгоден именно “Столото”, а вовсе не государству, ведь речь идёт о наваре в десятки миллиардов рублей.
Факт пятый.
1 января 2020 года в России был зафиксирован рекордный выигрыш в лотерею за всю историю – 1 миллиард рублей.
Победителем оказалась жительница Подмосковья Надежда Бартош, выигравшая джек-пот в новогоднем тираже “Русского лото”, в котором участвовали более 53 миллионов билетов.
Многие СМИ сразу заподозрили “Столото” в сговоре с Бартош с целью вывода из компании этой гигантской суммы. И поводы к этому были.
В начале 2020 года Царьград уже писал, что Бартош оказалась удивительным образом связана с руководителем “Столото” Арменом Саркисяном. Победительница – не бедный человек.
Она владеет торговым домом “Царский осётр”, который, кстати, является дистрибьютором элитной осетровой икры Caviar.
Бывшим гендиректором того самого ТД “Царский осётр”, учреждённого Бартош, оказался некто Сергей Караогланов, который также был членом правления ЗАО “Моспромстрой”, возводившего отели в Москве при Юрии Лужкове.
Куратором “Моспромстроя” был вице-мэр Иосиф Орджоникидзе. А дочь Орджоникидзе – Эка – является супругой владельца “Столото” Армена Саркисяна.
Таким ли случайным теперь выглядит миллиардный выигрыш Бартош?
В “Столото” эти обвинения категорически отвергают и заявляют, что выигрыш был честным.
Чтобы опровергнуть все домыслы, компания “Столото” в начале года намеревалась провести пресс-конференцию с участием Надежды Бартош, куда пригласила всех желающих представителей СМИ.
Однако накануне пресс-конференции правительство России ушло в отставку, а “Столото” отменила в связи с этим запланированное мероприятие для прессы.
Затем компания так и не провела эту пресс-конференцию!
