Boho Love

As one season ends I am always excited to start knitting for the new one ahead. Transitioning from Winter to Spring knitting always feels refreshing. Casting aside the thick, heavy wools and picking up cotton and linen blends opens up a world of new knitting possibilities! Spring and Summer projects tend to be quicker as well which is always welcome (no long sleeves)!
Meet my latest Spring Design: Boho Love.
The Inspiration: I had an idea for a Spring tee based off of an old blouse I had years ago which would feature a wide waist, A-Line shape, with a short length and a fitted bust. I wanted a bottom panel with lace knitting and after trying out a few different stitch patterns slowly but surely Boho Love came to life!
The Yarn: It took a bit of swatching in different yarns to find one that would be just right. I was really excited to have a chance to work with Ashley of Woolful's Cormo/Cotton blend Cottage Yarn. I have been a fan of her podcast for a couple of years now  (it was actually the main thing that really inspired me to start designing) so when I realized she was sourcing Cormo wool and having it spun up with cotton I thought it would be the perfect yarn base for this design!

The Design: Boho Love is a bohemian-inspired, romantic, feminine top. It is knit from the bottom up in pieces and seamed for great structure and fit. It features a wide lace bottom panel, a wide waist and A-line shaping up to a fitted bust. The sleeves are set in and short hitting just above the elbow. This is a great transitional piece for Spring or Fall. This top would be great as shown here over jeans, paired with shorts, or layered over a flowing maxi dress!
